Long white nightdress

Full-length white cotton nightdress with broderie-Anglaise ruffle collar and cuffs, buttoned half-way down the front with a small ruffle. Worn by Felac (Flora) MacEachern (1874-1955), sister of John MacEachern, Cornaigbeg (Mairi Brady`s grandfather), in the 1950s, and also worn by Felac`s sister, Peggy (Margaret) MacEachern (1868-1963). Both women never married and lived at Creag Mhor, Cornaigbeg, all their lives.

Information about Malcom Alexander MacLean of Tiree and Vancouver

Information and documents about the family history and life of Malcolm Alexander MacLean (1844-1895), who was born in Kilmoluaig/Cornaigbeg, emigrated to Canada with his family in 1848, and became the first mayor of Vancouver in 1886. Includes copy of his death certificate, ancestry, copy of article about the death of his wife`s mother, Mrs Donald Cattanach, and correspondence between Glenda Franklin, Louise MacDougall and An Iodhlann.

Colour photograph of Lachie & Flora MacLean, Druimfraoich, at ‘Naimh Chaluim Chèaird / the cave of Calum the tinker’ on the Balephuil side of Kenavara around 1995-2000. Thought to be a Neolithic/Bronze Age burial chamber. It is named after a traveller who presumably sheltered there.
