Ladies black wool Astrakhan (narrow shawl-collar) with fastening of two large buttons. Worn around the shoulders as an accessory, and named after the area in the Middle East from which the wool/fashion originated.

Black dress from around the 1950s

Machine-sewen black knee-length dress with wrap-across top, self-fabric belt and shoulder pads. Embroidered with patches of brightly coloured flowers. Worn around the 1950s.
