Willie married Christina (Ina) Campbell, Balemartine, where they lived for some time. Hector and Ina were children of Walter Campbell and Janet Lamont.

Leaflet produced by Tiree High School “Notes on the making of `Our island, its ever changing face`”, a film made by secondary school pupils for a BBC Focus/Multibroadcast Video Competition in February 1985 (? – exact year unknown). Despite several setbacks, they achieved 2nd place in a national field of 5000 entries.

Copies of a collection of official documents, family tree, history, hand-drawings and photographs relating to the Galbraith family of Balevullin, and the MacDonald family of Kilmoluaig, 1821-2009. James Galbraith (1821-1903) was born in Gigha, and came to Tiree from Rothiemurchus, near Aviemore, with his wife and children in 1874 to take up the position of School Master of the Parochial School at Balevullin. The factor relocated the MacLeod family to Kilmoluaig to make way for him. His third daughter Janet Wotherspoon Galbraith (b. 1872) married Donald MacDonald of Kilmoluaig in 1905. She drowned at Loch Bhasapol aged 64. One sister, Mary Galbraith, married John MacDonald of Cornaigmore in 1907 and they continued to run the croft. However, after 10 years of pursuit, the Duke took the matter to Court and the croft was given up around 1913.

Brass plaque from a sundial that once stood opposite the bank in Scarinish
Brass plaque on a wooden stand engraved with “Presented by F & I Gunnis, in memory of many happy days on Tiree, 1931”, which was once part of a sundial/weather vane encased in a glass box atop a concrete plinth. Mr & Mrs Gunnis donated the sundial/weathervane in 1931, where it stood on the side of the road, opposite the Bank in Scarinish until around 1950. Mr & Mrs Gunnis came on holiday to the Scarinish Hotel every year for many years in the 1920s and 1930s. Mr Gunnis had the shooting rights on Tiree.
