Colour photocopy of a Scottish Education Department Merit Certificate awarded to Katie Brown from Tyree Cornaigmore Public School in July 1901 when she was 13 years old. Signed by Headmaster D. MacKinnon. The original has a dark green hard cover with gold writing and crest. Photocopied A4 sheet and laminated folded copy for exhibition.

Danny Gillespie in the foreground was preparing the windmill for demolition when the photo was taken during the 1970s. Sitting next to Danny is Iain Baker (son of the policeman, Jimmy Baker), with Bobby MacLean (Bobby Mhialuim) in the background.
