Three detailed diaries of Neil MacPhail, Registrar at Kirkapol during 1897-1924. The diaries cover the periods 1897-1900, 1911-1926, 1920-1923. Entries include the weather, maintenance around the croft, sowing, harvests, cattle breeding, deaths, purchases and payments. Neil was awarded an MBE in 1979 for his services as a Registrar.

Small, corroded part from the Fairey Swordfish biplane torpedo bomber that crashed on Kennavara during WWII. Fairey Swordfish operated from aircraft carriers and contributed to the sinking of many enemy ships.

Photocopy of the certificate from the French government to Captain Neil MacLean, Caoles, which accompanied the Silver Medal of Rescue awarded to him in 1928 for his part in the rescue of a stricken French vessel in 1927.
