Written by Margaret Whitaker, wife of James McDowell`s g-g-g-grandson, in 2008. Includes a letter from Margaret Whitaker to An Iodhlann in January 2011.

Letter and account of RAF airman F.C.”Freddie” Gee`s time on Tiree 1944-45

Letter from F.C.”Freddie” Gee to Dr Holliday regarding his enclosed account of his days on Tiree as an RAF Meterological Air Observer during WWII. He wrote it for his grandchildren and includes mention of two Tiree school teachers, May and Grace, whom he befriended, and Corporal Eddie Rudd who later taught his children at school. Includes contact photographs of F. Gee and various images from Tiree. See also photographs P103-P107.
