Softback book `Ferries in Scotland` by Marie Weir about the development of communicaitons in Scotland, over 400 ferry sites, ferryman`s way of life, and difficulties faced. Tiree is mentioned on page 157, with regard to inducing the ferryman at Scarinish to provide a competitive service.

Softback book about the history, ecology and conservation of native hazel woodland on the Atlantic fringes of Britain and Ireland. Hazel woodland is thought to have existed on Tiree and Coll around 9,000 years ago. The nuts were probably an important food source for seasonal foragers around the sea kingdom.

Composition by Ailean Boyd about the tradition of `Lining Out the Psalm` in Tiree churches, whereby the precentor chants out each line before it is sung collectively by the congregation. It appears to have come to an end in the mid- to late-1930s. Includes a ‘Short Note’ on the subject published in Scottish Reformation Society Historical Journal, Vol. 4, 2014, and notes about the correct name for Heylipol.
