Glass fishing float
Large green glass ball. These were used as floats for fishing nets and lobster creels before plastic floats were made. The ball would have been encased in rope mesh.

Copy of an OS map from 1900, with handwritten annotations and updates by/for Cornaigmore H.G. and Heylipol Public schools in May/June 1934. Annotations include land use (probably Meadow, Heath and Agriculture) and notes regarding roads, crops, livestock, markets, horses and land tenure.

Loose sheets from school attendance registers for each class at Heylipol School from October 1930 to June 1968. Signed by teachers and approved by headteachers. Includes the names of all pupils, their dates of birth and addresses (but not their attendance records).

Reminiscence of the emergency Wireless Telegraphy Services to the Hebrides in the 1920s
Printed internet download of the reminiscence of David H Murdoch about his time on the Emergency WT Service (Wireless Telegraphy Section of the British Post Office) to the Western Isles in the 1920s, including Tiree, Barra and South Uist. His job was to provide a communication service to the islands when the normal telegraph system failed.

Great-uncle and grandfather (resp.) of Christine MacLean Klein, Germany. John, also known as `Iain a` Ghlascu / John of Glasgow (man)`, died of a heart attack in the saloon of the MV Loch Ard whilst anchored at Bruichladdich in 1962, aged 63.
