Printed image from an auction website of an envelope addressed to John Lamont, Aberdeen, Hong Kong, in 1859, with additional information about the auction item. John Lamont emigrated from Ruaig, Tiree, in 1820 and became a successful and well known shipbuilder in Hong Kong.

Printed scan of an article from The Glasgow Herald dated 1886, about the dangerous method of transferring livestock, particularly horses, between Tiree and the ferry SS Hebridean. Article also mentions four of the imprisoned crofters of the Land Agitation liberated on bail.

Black-painted metal pot chain / slàbhraidh found in the chimney of a ruined thatched house (Tigh Thearlaich Bhruin) at The Land, Barrapol. Given to Ailean Boyd by William MacNeill (Uilleam an Tailleir). Includes a note handwritten by Ailean Boyd in 1972.

Cream silk, hand-sewn pouch containing dried lavender and tied with a handmade lace ribbon. Made by Catherine (Kate) MacKinnon of Lodge Farm, Kirkapol (sister of Rev Hector MacKinnon) at one of Lady Victoria`s sewing classes held at the farm in the 1910s.
