Cheaper to build a new church at Heylipol
Letter dated 22nd Oct. 1900 from the Reverend Dugald MacLean of Heylipol Manse to the Duke of Argyll informing him that a report on the condition of Heylipol Church omits the decayed state of the windows, and suggests that it might be cheaper to build a new church than to repair the existing one. Rev MacLean`s efforts must have paid off as a new church was built in 1902.
