Collection of 14 flint cores, debris and scrapper from an archaeological site at Balephuil, grid reference: 9408 4065. Found by A. Blackwood from the Lorn(? – unclear writing) Archaeological & Historical Society in June 2006.
Cine-film footage of the Muir family holiday on Tiree in the 1960s, transferred to DVD. Mrs Christian Muir (the lady with the dog, who gets a kiss from her husband) and their kids Iain, David and Kenneth, came to Tiree on a family holiday in 196?. The donor, Alex Newbery, found the film in Mrs Muir`s attic while clearing it out. She`s sure that they stayed at Salum or Ruaig.
Colour print of a portrait “A Tiree Girl”, belonging to Su and Ian Aitkens, Balephuil. The girl is thought to be Ellen MacDonald, Balephuil (1886-1988), who emigrated to Manitoba, Canada, in 1910 with her sister Catherine. Unknown artist, although could have been painted by D. MacGregor-Whyte in the 1930s, who painted “The Lady of the Manse” in 1935, also owned by the Aitkens. See 2009.86.2.

Includes a letter from Steven Mithen to Dr John Holliday (02/04/08) and a copy of a research note about his work at Fiskary Bay, Coll, published in Scottish Archarological News.
