Typed account of some key events in Tiree’s history and its churches. Unknown author. May have been the notes for a public talk. Typed ca. 1960. Found by the Rev. Neil MacKinnon, Cumbernauld, during a clear out of his house in 2010.

Copy of `Warship World` magazine, 2008, with article `The Loss of HMS Sturdy` by Derek Fox. Also a letter from the author to Dr John Holliday, Sept.2010, along with a separate typed transcript of the article. HMS Sturdy was wrecked off Sandaig in Oct 1940 with the loss of five lives. Derek Fox`s grandfather, Ernest Fox was one of the survivors.
Obituary for Thomas Baird, Medical Officer of HMS Sturdy
Photocopy of obituary from the BMJ (British Medical Journal?) for Thomas Terence Baird (1916-1996) who was the Medical Officer on board HMS Sturdy when it was shipwrecked at Sandaig in October 1940.
Two photocopied letters from Marion Blair of Partick, Glasgow, to her brother and sister, Duncan and Georgina, in 1931. The letters tell of the death of their brother Archie (Dunne?) in Glasgow and the difficulty and expense of transporting his coffin to Tiree via Oban.
