The `Mary & Effie` at anchor with her owner Allan MacFadyen standing on the slipway at Kilberry, Argyll. Allan was born on Tiree on 4th August 1865, the son of Alexander MacFadyen and his wife Sarah (Marion) MacArthur who moved to Port Ramsay on Lismore in 1873. The `Mary & Effie` was named after Allan`s two daughters.
