The Great China Tea Race of 1866

Newspaper article from the Illustrated London News, 22nd September 1866, reporting the outcome of the Great China Tea Race of 1866. Nine mighty sailing ships carrying cargoes of tea, raced each other from China to London. The winning ship was the Taeping, captained by Donald MacKinnon of Heanish.
