Photocopies of the cover pages of four booklets issued to staff of the Tiree branch of the Royal Bank of Scotland (formerly the National and Commercial Bank of Scotland): (1) `Careers for Girls` and `Your Bank Account` by RBS, and (2) `On the Cash – a practical guide for tellers` and `Organising the Work of a Branch ` an introduction` by NC.

Photocopy of a scale of salaries for staff working at the Royal Bank of Scotland on Tiree from April 1970. There are three scales for `Male` staff (A-C) and one scale for `Female`. The femal scale is equal to band A (the lowest scale for men) until age 22, when it falls behind by increasing amounts as the female gets older.

Ring-binder file folder of typed text, diagrams and hand-written notes about the use and care of ammunitions during WWII. Used by trainees taking courses. Subjects include; pyrotechnics demolition, explosives, pistol revolver, rifle, cameras, workshops. Hand-written on inside front cover is “A.R. Rodger, 45 Course, 6 Squad.

Images include scything at Kilmoluaig, Balemartine PO in the early 1900s, Island House in 1924, drawing of Tug o` War in the late 1800s, Malcolm MacArthur at the reins of his grocers cart, Scarinish harbour 1900, Tiree Pipe Band 1977, Tug o` War 1979, milk delivered in old whisky bottles, coal puffer at Scarinish harbour, thatched house 1921, plane Britee-Norman Trislander 1979, ferry `Columba` in 1970s.
Two small, stamped envelopes addressed to J MacDonald, Tiree. One to Tiree the other to Glasgow. Each stamped “BEA first `all-up` mail, Renfrew – Tiree 14 June 1948”. These were two of the first letters to be flown to/from the island. Includes photocopy of both.
