The author tells of his Tiree ancestors Allan MacLean, Kenovay, his wife Mary and their children, and the hardships they faced when they emmigrated to upper Canada on board the Oughton in May 1804, arriving in Baldoon Settlement in southwestern Ontario in September 1804.
