Maps regarding the weather station at Cornaigmore, 1926
Photocopies of two maps pertaining to the installation of the weather station at Cornaigmore School in the 1920s. One is a plan of the location of the weather station at the school hand-drawn by Argyll Estates with reference to the Feu Contract. Heavy, calf-skin bound, hardback book belonging to Lachlan MacKinnon, Hillcrest. On the inside cover is an ornately hand-drawn name plate `John McCallum` with the date cut from the top of a newspaper `Saturday, March 3, 1877`. John McCallum may have been the husband of Mrs McCallum (Monica Smith`s grandmother) that Lachlan MacKinnon drove to bible meetings. Includes a photocopy of a torn loose-leaf A3 drawing of `Bunyan`s Dream` that is stored separately in filing cabinet 9 drawer 4 (2013.61.2).
Two small, stamped envelopes addressed to J MacDonald, Tiree. One to Tiree the other to Glasgow. Each stamped “BEA first `all-up` mail, Renfrew – Tiree 14 June 1948”. These were two of the first letters to be flown to/from the island. Includes photocopy of both.

Dark blue covered, hard-back Gaelic hynm book titled `An Laoidheadair` in gold embossed lettering, with “Mrs John Lamont, Balevullin, Isle of Tiree` written in pencil on the inside cover.
Four ribboned medals for services during World War II belonging to Lachlan `Lal` MacLean, Roadside, Balemartine: (1) brass The France and Germany Star, (2) brass The 1939-1945 Star, (3) silver The Defence Medal, (4) silver 1939-1945, bearing a lion overpowering a griffin.
WWII map of the RAF aerodrome at Crossapol and the Reef copied onto a polyester banner with Tyvek coating. “Secret Sheet No. 24”. Scale 1:2500, 23.11.1943. The original belongs to Tish MacKinnon, Kilmoluaig, and is held in the National Library of Scotland. Also on CD-ROM 2013.52.2 in filing cabinet 9 drawer 4.
Large white-painted wooden chest containing First Aid equipment of the ambulance service at Tiree Aerodrome pre-1980. A typed inventory of items present includes: bandages, dressings, gauze, cotton wool, tourniquets, rescue sheets, paracetamol, pins, plasters, drinking glass, scissors and casualty labels.
