Lord Bannerman (on the right), former president of An Comunn Gaidhealach, photographed with his father in 1938. Lord Bannerman spent his school holidays in Tiree with his grandfather and Aunt Flora at Ard Deas, Caoles. His daughter, Ray Michie, was Liberal MP for Argyll & Bute 1987-2001.
