Black-painted, iron balance beam scales from the Thatched House Museum at Sandaig. The museum closed in 2010 and many of its display items were passed on to An Iodhlann.
Ornate brass horse buckle found in a stream in Kirkapol (grid ref. NM 04351 47358) by John Wombell of NOSAS. It appears to have been coated with silver, suggesting that it may have belonged to Lady Victoria Campbell who kept a horse-drawn carriage at Kirkapol when she stayed in Tiree around 1910.
Small clear glass rectangular ‘Sloans Liniment’ bottle found on Soroby Beach. Sloans liniment was made between 1890 and 1913 for applying to the skin to ease muscle and joint pain. Initially made for treating horses, but was found affective on people also.
