Pier log book 1869/70

Hardback log book of names, freight and charges for the ferry and pier at Scarinish Harbour from 27th Dec. 1869 to 21st Nov 1870. Ferries named are Clydesdale, Staffa and Clansman. Entries handwritten in script using fountain pen and pencil. (possibly from Skye – Donald Meek pers. comm. 2014)

Book `Clyde Cruising Club Sailing Directions` 1960

Hard-back manual of rules, regulations, advice and anchorages for sailing in the west coast of Scotland. Belonged to Mrs Petrie, a former owner of the Scarinish Hotel, and signed `R.N. Petrie` on the inside front. Several pages of advertisements at the back of the book.

Colour photograph of cattle being herded toward the ferry ramp at Gott Bay pier around 1990. After the cars and foot passengers were onboard, the animals were herded onto the stern of the boat into a holding pen. A lot of manure was left on the pier.
