Handwritten letter from Gerald Stock dated 10/2/98, concerning Duncan MacLean who was killed during a German U-boat attack on the SS Scottish Monarch in WWI, and whose parents lived at Gott. Mr Stock was put in touch with Les Crawte, Milton, who produced the Tiree Roll of Honour.

Colour photograph of an original portrait of Lady Frances Balfour (nee Campbell; 1858-1931) as a young woman. She was the sister of the Duke of Argyll and loved Tiree, staying at The Lodge on Gott Bay for many years. The portrait was painted by her sister-in-law, HRH Princess Louise, Queen Victoria`s youngest child, and then Marchioness of Lorne (1848-1939).
