Softback book ‘Men Only’, November 1939, belonging to MacArthur, Caoles. The Men Only series of pocket magazines began in 1935, with the aim of bringing “bright articles on current male topics” to men. The Nov. 1939 edition features many war and military related topics.
Hardback book ‘Lady Frances – Frances Balfour, artistocrat suffragist’ by Joan B Huffman, 2018. Lady Frances was the 8th Duke of Argyll’s daughter. She was interested in politics from an early age, and became the constitutionalist’s main lobbyist with Parliament in 1889.

Green glass soda/mineral water bottle known as a ‘torpedo’ or ‘Hamilton’ bottle. The bottom is round so that it must be stored on its side in order to keep the cork wet and prevent the gas from escaping. Torpedo bottles were manufactured during most of the 1800s. Found in rocks on Gott Bay.

Scale model of a dipping lug-sail boat the ‘Islean Thiriodh’ built for David Hepburn, Scarinish and Oban, by an “old” east coast fisherman, and based on David’s boat the ‘Eilean Thiriodh’ which was built by Colin Evans, Barcaldine, in 1998. The Eilean Thiriodh won several races in the Tiree Regattas.
