Birth, death and marriage certificates for the Lamont family of `Seaview` Balemartine: Neil Lamont married Christina McFadyen 1874, son Neil Lamont (1875-?) married 1916, son Archibald Lamont (1881-1951), John Lamont (1885-1941), Flora Lamont (1891-?), Mary Lamont (1893-?) married 1921. Mary Lamont was Lorna Murdoch`s grandmother. Includes printed emails from Lorna Murdoch to An Iodhlann with information.

Certificates and census records relating to people associated with the development of Vaul golf course, early 1900s

Census record and marriage certificate for James Hobbens, the greenkeeper of Vaul Golf Course in 1911. Census record for the McNeil family including Charles McNeil who funded the development of the Vaul Golf Course in the early 1900s. Death certificate for John McNeil, Charles McNeil`s father, in 1927. His death is one of the reasons the funding dried up.

Photocopies of newspaper cuttings about the High Jump record achieved by Tiree school girl Flora McBain (now MacKinnon) of Balinoe, at the British Legion`s Sports at Murrayfield, Edinburgh, in 1949, a letter from the Corporation of Glasgow Eastbank Secondary School congratulating her on her success (4/7/1949), and a telegram dated 20/7/1949 inviting her to compete.

Includes summaries of the incidents in which they died and other personnel involved.
