Bound printed copy of Glenda Franklin`s (Canada) research into her Tiree and Coll ancestry. Alexander McPhadden (1790-1878) lived in Croish House, Caoles, before emigrating to Ontario, Canada, with his family in 1806. He was Glenda`s great-great-grandfather. Includes family trees, will and transcripts from 3 newspaper articles about his death. Grandfather of Ailsa MacKinnon, Australia, and great-grandfather of Anthony MacKinnon, Australia, who carried out most of the family history research.

Includes copy of his death certificate, ancestry, copy of article about the death of his wife`s mother, Mrs Donald Cattanach, and correspondence between Glenda Franklin, Louise MacDougall and An Iodhlann.

Book about the family of Alexander McLean of Cornaigbeg (b.1809, d. 1885). Five of his 13 children and their children lived on the Maraekakaho property in New Zealand. Alexander`s first wife Catherine McLean, Kenovay, died after her 6th child (the drunk doctor set fire to her bed!). His second wife Flora MacKinnon, Baugh, bore him another 7 children. Includes pull-out A3 map of old Tiree.
