Collection book for subscriptions towards the upkeep of Soroby Cemetery 1908-1954
Small notebook containing handwritten record of names and amount given towards the upkeep of Sorobie Cemetery between 1908 and 1954. Names include: Donald Lamont (The Land, father of Mary lamont, Mod Gold Medalist), Donald Campbell (“the ban”, grandfather of Alasdair Sinclair Greenhill “Alasdair beag na Cachala”), Gilleasbuig Campbell (his borther), Donald MacLean, Balinoe (his nickname Donald a` Tommy was to do with his hat, great uncle of Willie MacLean, Balinoe), John MacDonald, Sandaig (“Beegee”). Also a small type-written note informing subscribers of Argyll County Council`s failure to keep the cemetery in an orderly state and the need to revive the subscriptions system. The notebook was evidently passed around between subscribers.

Draft report on natural aggregate resources on Tiree, their current extraction rates and lifespans, and proposed strategy to safe-guard future resources and minimize environmental impacts. The assessment was carried out by Dr Paul J Henny and Mr Jon Merritt of the British Geological Survey on behalf of Scottish Natural Heritage and Argyll & Bute Council.

Admission Register for Balemartine School 1945-1971
Admission register for pupils attending Balemartine School from 20 Sept 1945 to 13 April 1971, giving date of admission, pupils’ full name and date of birth, name of parent or guardian, relationship, address, name of last school, date of leaving, and cause of leaving or where gone. Birth dates range from 1933 to 1966. On loan to An Iodhlann from Tiree High School, Cornaig. Also contains loose sheets of handwritten notes about (1) new address of Mrs J Grieve, mother of Carol Ann and Alexander Moncrieff Grieve, when they left Tiree for Kirkaldy, Fife, (2) the date of birth and religion of brothers James and David McCrae of West Hynish, and the name of their guardian – Bella MacKinnon. Lists the previous school of 80 boarded-out children. Includes separate daily register for year ending July 1971 recorded by teacher Mary MacPhail. Also leaflet produced by wartime authorities “War Emergency Information and Instructions” (photocopy 2009.56.2, filing cabinet 9, drawer 2).
