Peter Rackliff MAO and F/Eng John Young were member’s of F/Lt Keith McGonigal’s (RAAF) crew involved in a take-off accident, described on pages 107-108 in which Halifax Met Mk V M-Mike left the runway in Tiree during an aborted take-off.

Janet married Hector MacKinnon of Tiree in Glasgow, 1943 and later spent time in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada where her brother lived.
(RHS) Catherine Park nee Anderson (1887-1967) eldest daughter of Peter Anderson (1849-1935) and Catherine Campbell (1849-1912) daughter of Murdoch Campbell. They lived in the gamekeeper’s cottage, Scarinish. Catherine was Janet’s niece.

He was the son of Allan MacLean 1820-1882 and Euphemia MacDonald 1834-1917 of Kenovay. Allan’s father was Charles MacLean b 1776, Kenovay, d 1855 Kenovay, married to Mary b 1783, Kenovay, d 1863
Hector joined the Police force and moved to Glasgow.
