Black & white photograph of a card from RAF Service Photographer, ‘Peru’ (real name unknown), to Alan George French. They both served with 518 Squadron on Tiree during WWII. ‘Peru’ took all the photographs in this collection (2021.45.1-13).

Copy of the Swiss magazine Passé Simple containing an article (in French) about RAF airman Léonard Revilliod, one of the 16 flight crew who lost their lives in a mid-air collision over Island House in 1944. Léonard was the grandson of the first President of Czechoslovakia, and served with 518 Squadron based on Tiree. Written by Denis Dumoulin in 2020.

Based on the navigation logs of the author while he was serving with Squadron No. 217 flying Bristol Beaufort bombers out of St Eval, Cornwal in 1941. Relates to archive item 2020.1.70 about RAF Pilot Officer Charles MacLean, grandson of Lachlan MacLean, Kenovay.
