Alexander MacEachern (1801-1881) of Gortenvickeachin. Alexander was the youngest son of John MacEachern and Janet Campbell who moved from Mull to Tiree before 1785. He married Ann MacLean in 1827 and had nine children. The family emigrated to Canada on board the `Jamaica` in June 1847 and settled in Osprey Township, Grey County, Ontario.
