Three medals from a large collection of items belonging to and about Donald Archibald McLean, Kenovay (1890-1981), and his family. Left to Right: the Atlantic Star, the Defence Medal and the 1939-1945 Star, which were awarded for services during WWII (the ribbons are in the wrong order). The Defence Medal was awarded to Donald Archie McLean for services in the Police Force. The two Stars were awarded post-humously to his son, Charles MacLean, for his services in the RAF. He went missing in action over the English Channel in November 1941.
