Hugh Rose MacDougall (1900-1922), the son of Rev. Allan MacDougall of Milton and his wife Catherine MacDonald from Skye.
Hugh was a bank Clark in Portree but contracted TB so was brought to Milton to his parents house. His sister Margaret who was a trained nurse was called home to nurse him in a wooden lean-to that was built at the end of the house. Having survived WW1 he died aged 21, and is buried in Kirkapol beside his parents.
