Collection of 14 black & white and colour photographs belonging to Willie Adair (1925-2010), Balevullin & Scarinish. Willie was a foster child from Glasgow who came to live in the red-roof house in Balevullin. He was a great piper. Married first to Ina Lamont, Balemartine, then Agnes in Greenock. Returned to the Eventide Home in Scarinish for his last days. His niece `B` looked after Willie in Greenock and erected his headstone on Tiree. Seven photos of Willie accessioned separately Q113-Q119. Others are of his brother Tom, sister Jeannie and her daughter `B` and son `Little Jimmie` amongst others.
Colour photograph of Willie Adair (1925-2010), Balevullin & Scarinish, and his brother-in-law, Hector Campbell, outside the old school house Balemartine, in around 1975. Willie married Christina (Ina) Campbell, Balemartine, where they lived for some time. Hector and Ina were children of Walter Campbell and Janet Lamont.

Willie served in the police force in Greenock and was an accomplished piper. Walter’s first piping tutor was his grandfather, Neil Lamont of Balemartine/Cornaig. The photograph was probably taken in around 1960 in Luton where Jock and Walter were police officers.
