Transcript of a Police Report submitted to Tobermory Procurator Fiscal by by Duncan Cameron (Constable) charging John Lamont and John MacPhail with Breach of Peace and Assault in December 1862. Lamont (brother of and residing with Hector Lamont, Kirkapol) and MacPhail (son of and residing with Charles MacPhail, Kirkapol), are charged with attacking and assaulting Donald McKinnon (son of and residing with John McKinnon, Vaul) in a dispute over crossing crofts.
