Men`s leather gaiters
Two pairs of men`s brown leather gaiters worn by crofters over their shins and calves. One long pair and one for just around the ankles. Worn by John Fletcher`s (Balemartine) father and found in the house that used to stand at Pairc na Coille, Balephuil. Manufactured by F.C. Chamberlain & Co., Wellingborough, in around 1910-1920, probably for WWI army uniform.
