Transcript of a police report submitted to Tobermory Procurator Fiscal charging Anne McInnes with the crime of theft, in July 1859. McInnes (Manal) admits to taking white worsted stockings belonging to Catherine Currie from the bleaching green at Moss.

Statements are provided by Archibald Currie (crofter, Moss) and Catherine Currie (sister of Archibald Currie, Moss).

Digitised copy of State of Tiree augmentations, 1791. Contains a table showing the ‘State [of] Augmentation arising from Farms Set in Tiry Whitsunday 1791’. The table contains the details of augmentation, old rent and new rent for Hector McLean at Hynish and Mannel, as well as interest paid on a sum laid out on the Minister’s Farm. Transcript of a Police Report submitted to Tobermory Procurator Fiscal by John MacDougall (Constable) charging John MacDougall and Malcolm MacKinnon with Breach of Peace on 5 December 1873. MacDougall (fisherman, Vaul) and MacKinnon (cottar, Vaul) are accused of fighting upon sea shore in Vaul. Hugh MacKinnon is accused of striking Ann MacFadyen or MacDougall.

Donald Brown (fisherman, Mannal) and Donald MacDougall (crofter, Vaul) are named as witnesses and provide statements.

Scanned copy of a newspaper eulogy of Dr Catherine Brown (1900 – c.1985) titled ‘The doctor whose name lives on in Agyll school annals’ from (presumably) the Oban Times. Although Catherine was born in Bunessan, Mull, her Baptist minister father Alexander Brown, was originally from Mannal, Tiree, and she was “as much at home too in the Isle of Tiree”.
