Pink marble from Balephetrish quarry

Tiree's unusual pink and green marble deposits are well known to geologists. One of the first to research them was the Sri Lankan geologist Ananda Kentish Coomaraswamy in 1902. His findings were published in the Quarterly Journal of the Geological Society of London, Vol. 59, 1903.
