A flight crew of RAF 518 Squadron

The eight-man aircrew of one of RAF Tiree`s meteorological reconnaissance aircraft, Halifax LL123, with Crossapol beach in the background. During WWII, 518 Squadron was responsible for collecting data out over the Atlantic to enable weather forecasting for Britain and Europe.
