Paper coin-bags (10 shillings in copper & 10 shillings in 3 pence pieces), a hessian sack for storing/carrying larger quantities of cash and a lockable leather purse, all from the bank at Scarinish. Tiree`s first bank, the National Bank of Scotland, began trading in 1949 from the building that is now An Iodhlann. It merged with the Commercial Bank and later the Royal Bank of Scotland, for which a new building was erected in 1955.
