Bagpipes (disassembled) belonging to postman Archibald McLean (d.1951) of Dunview Cottage (thatched house), Scarinish. Archie would practice playing the pipes outside the house. Archie married Janet MacTaggart, Earnal (b. Greenock). Their daughter Katie (Catriona Archie Mhor) worked in the telephone exchange in Scarinish.

Photographs and information about a message in a bottle found on the beach at Balephuil in winter 2011/2012. It had been launched by student Jolly Aleyoyok on 28 July 2011 at Baffin Island, Canada, as part of The Drift Bottle Project (Students on Ice Arctic Youth Expedition).
Two black & white photographs of John MacCorquodale, 16 Crossapol, son of Donald & Mary (nee Cameron) MacCorquodale, formerly of Kilmoluaig. John served in the Merchant Navy and was Chief Officer on the SS Rio Blanco when his ship was torpedoed by a U-boat in the North Atlantic on 1 April 1942. He and some of the crew survived in a lifeboat. They were rescued after 12 days at sea but John died just one day before rescue.
