Round white metal tin of Cromophone telephone cleaning pads from the Scarinish Post Office in the 1960s. Made by Cromessol, Glasgow, each cotton pad contained Chlorhexidine cleansing agent for disinfecting telephone mouth-pieces, micro-phones and dictating machines. Brass paraffin lamp used on the Post Office cart around 1900. Square in shape with covered vent at top. Two clear glass panes, one small circular red pane, and one mirrored side. Would have slotted into a bracket on the cart.
