Postman Lachie MacPhail, Cornaigmore, in the 1930s

Lachie delivered the mail by horse and cart. The post office and shop (Buth Eoghainn `ic Phail) at Cornaigmore was one of the largest on the island, and one of the first business premises to receive electric lighting.
