Our permanent exhibition gives a lively account of the major events that shaped Tiree’s landscape, history and culture. These include agriculture, the second world war, the sea, domestic life, geology, the saints, vikings, clans, emigration, houses, the weather and Tiree today.     From Bruce County, Ontario, Canada. Editors have changed the names of several Colls to ‘Colin’. Many Grey County / Bruce County men were named Coll, having emigrated from Tiree, for the most part. How come so many descendants of Tiree people were named “Coll”?
